The GroupHappy Scam

After writing an article on the GroupHappy Scam that is quickly spreading through MSN Messenger, I realized I had written a lot. So much that I confused myself with the page layout and information.

So I have started this page as an easy guide for those of you who just want a quick and easy fix to the GroupHappy Scam (with details on how to remove the GroupHappy virus).

However, if you want to read more info on this new scam that is spreading through spam via MSN Messenger, you can read more about that at GroupHappy Scam.

To summarize what I had written before, this new bot that uses people's MSN contact lists as a means to spread their website links (which point to "www.GroupHappy.com") is very much like the Acai Berry message you may very well have seen in the past.

What is GroupHappy and why is it spamming your MSN?

GroupHappy.com is a website that promotes and sells ViagPure pills. The website advertises these pills as male pe**s enhancers, while containing "100% natural ingredients".

However, a report on AmericanScammers.com says, "There is no product or service. It is just an attempt to get your [credit card] details. Please don't fall for it."

As for why you are getting GroupHappy spam messages sent to your MSN chat window as popups, it is a promotional technique that www.GroupHappy.com is using.

It starts with an automatic bot that is sent to a few hundred people, sometimes more, that contains a brief description and a link. If someone clicks on the link, their computer gets infected with the GroupHappy malware. What that means? Basically the virus uses your MSN contacts and sends them the same messages that you got at a set time. So it might send out an automatic form you to all your friends every wek, every 2 weeks or at any rate the automatic malware is set to.

Where is it listed? In the MSN chat or somewhere on his computer?
